There’s no end to the ways you can use transparency in your graphics. Generally I use it for blending of separate objects or to “mute” the feel of a layer. It’s also a great tool if you want to make a collage (use a black background).

A graphic for School Safety Week starts with two separate images. The images are faded on facing sides and then moved together. More adjustment is made to image’s fade property. Add a black rectangle to the left of the graphic and enter text for maximum effect.
